Breadsmith

I'm not quite sure that there is much more I need in life besides bread.  I don't discriminate...white bread, wheat bread, cinnamon raisin bread, especially garlic bread...they're all fine by me.  I'm sure that you probably feel the same.  If you don't, then either your diet is extremely unfortunate, or you haven't been to Breadsmith in Lakewood yet.  This awesome locally-owned bakery makes some of the best loafs I've ever had!

I bought the Garlic Rosemary Bread on a rainy Saturday morning knowing that I would be making some sort of hearty soup over the weekend.  My only regret?  That I didn't buy more!  But I can't lie - I did make an impulse sweet treat purchase at the Breadsmith while I was waiting to pay for my savory bread.  Talk about lack of self control!  Buy hey now, no judging, you try staring down Cinnamon Nut Roll Brioche Bread while you're waiting in line!

Note: There actually is no photographic documentation of this Cinnamon Nut Roll Brioche Bread purchase.  It was consumed immediately.  Can I pretend that I didn't completely cancel out my workout that I had finished just minutes before my visit?

I must say, the Rosemary Garlic Bread paired perfectly with a bowl of my homemade Italian Wedding Soup.  The subtle garlic undertones and bursts of rosemary made it absolutely perfect for dipping in the brothy soup filled with tiny pasta and mini meatballs!  It was my first time visiting the Breadsmith, but it certainly won't be my last!

Can't make it during their normal bakery hours?  Many of the restaurants in Lakewood buy various flavors of the bread and feature it on their sandwiches regularly (like The Detroiter which I wrote about here)!
