Maroon 5 Concert | Pittsburgh, PA

I don't know about you, but I had the BEST weekend!  I got to watch the (second) love of my life, Adam Levine rock the stage in front of almost 20,000 people with my favorite concert buddy, my mom.  I'm not exaggerating when I say that Maroon 5 has gotten better over the last couple of years; I didn't think they could possibly top their Overexposed tour...but they did.  And if anybody would know, it would be me; I'm OBSESSED.  I started going to their concerts when This Love was a #1 hit on the radio and She Will Be Loved wasn't even on the charts yet...helloooo early 2005.  If you're reading this and Maroon 5 hasn't come to your city yet, you need to buy tickets, even if it's a splurge!  Or better yet, choose a city that's within a few hours driving distance and take the afternoon before the concert to explore!

That's what my mom and I did, and we had the most incredible day.  It started with lunch at NOLA On the Square, a Creole-style restaurant located in Market Square that had the best French Onion Soup I've ever ordered.  I'd highly recommend it to anybody visiting Pittsburgh, but make sure you make a reservation!  We got there at 11:58 a.m. for lunch and literally snagged the last free table!

After lunch we took the Monongahela Incline from Station Square to the top of Mt. Washington, the highest point overlooking the city.  We weren't really sure what to expect on top; we thought it would be a park or something, but it ended up being a mini-city with tons of restaurants, houses and businesses.  Our favorite of these businesses was definitely the Grandview Bakery, which was the perfect place to take a break with coffee and sweet treats after walking up and down all those darn hills!  My chins and ankles are still killing me today!

We hit up The Urban Tap in the Southside for a quick dinner and cocktail before the concert.  We love getting dressed up and letting loose on our girls nights!  I got the perfect top for the concert at Express, which is linked here!

The concert was definitely my favorite part of the day by far!  Here are some videos I took so you can enjoy it too!  They're embedded in the post, but if you would like to see them a little larger just click on the song title above the video!

I wrapped up my weekend just right, celebrating St. Patrick's Day with all of my friends!  It was a blast, and I definitely hope to make it back to Pittsburgh for it again next year!
